The short version

You already own the tub. You just need the cold.

HomePlunge is a chiller that connects to the bathtub you already have. Two insulated hoses, a standard outlet, and the room you start your day in becomes the cold plunge. No ice, no plumbing, no standalone tub in the yard.

A dedicated plunge tub

  • Leading brands start around $7,000.
  • They need a large footprint, which usually means outdoors.
  • Maintenance is comparable to a pool.
  • They have to be winterized for three or four months a year.

HomePlunge

  • Sets up in seconds next to the tub you already own.
  • Rolls on wheels and stores in a closet.
  • Reusable filter, weekly drain and refill.
  • Indoors, so there is nothing to winterize.

The eight questions we get most.

How long does it take to get cold?

The question we get more than any other. The H3 chills at 20 to 30°F an hour, which is about 45 to 60 minutes to plunge temperature in an average tub. A big soaker takes longer, and the H3 will cool tubs up to 200 gallons. Bella takes about three to four hours on the first run, then holds, and cools tubs up to 100 gallons. Either one can be scheduled from the app, so you walk into a cold tub instead of waiting for one.

Will it work in my bathtub?

The standard hose-arm fits most bathtubs. For extra wide built-in tubs there is an XL Hose-Arm. The H3 cools tubs up to 200 gallons and Bella up to 100, which covers alcove tubs, freestanding soakers, clawfoots and acrylic spa tubs.

How is this different from a dedicated cold plunge tub?

Leading cold plunge brands start around $7,000. They need a large footprint, which usually means outside. They take maintenance comparable to a pool. And they have to be winterized for three or four months of the year. HomePlunge is portable, sets up in seconds, and gets used in the privacy and convenience of your own bathroom.

Will it cause mold in my bathroom?

The question we get most, so we put the evidence on its own page. One owner ran an H3 at 48 degrees around the clock for over a year, then pulled his tub out during a remodel and photographed underneath. Dust, no moisture, no mold. See all four photographs.

How much does it cost to run?

Less than $10 a month, running an hour a day, every day. It only works when it needs to hold temperature, so it is not drawing power around the clock.

Do I have to empty the tub after every plunge?

No. Most owners keep the same water for a week. Built-in filtration keeps it circulating and clean between plunges, and the filter is reusable, so there is nothing to replace. Drain and refill weekly.

Can I finance it?

Yes. 0% APR is available through Affirm and Shop Pay Installments, subject to eligibility. It is also HSA and FSA eligible through Truemed.

What is the warranty, and who do I talk to?

One year included, with up to three additional years available through SureBright. Support is US-based, at info@thehomeplunge.com.
